Aches & Pains

Ain't no stranger to the blues
I've had hard luck I couldn't lose
Drag me down here of late
Comes around can't escape
Lonely nights of the soul
Try not to lose control
Aches n pains getting to me, need a little relief
Feeling rough getting older
Got the world on your shoulder
Skies of blue skies of grey
Struggle through each day
Getting worse than ever before
Can't suffer anymore
Aches n pains getting to me, need a little relief
When it snows when it rains
These poor bones start hurtin' again
Try to take the life from me
Steal away my energy
Fight it off however I can
Not let it claim another man
Aches n pains getting to me, need a little relief

Anytown

Anytown
This town ain't the same as it used to be
As the years gone by there's less and less here for me
High dollar urban sprawl drives the working poor into the ground
Each day driving to work see the derelicts hanging around
Block after block of strip malls and town homes
10 foot square front lawns keeping up with the jones
Over priced real estate my salary can't afford
Our dollar ain't worth what it was once before
Ma and pop closed their doors
Lost their business to all the big box stores
Seems like anything unique with personality is gone
Reoccurring scene that just don't belong
This ain't no place for a poor boy here these days
Priced out of reach who's got the dough anyways
The vintage shops closed economy tumbling down
It's the same old story you hear in Anytown

RIGHTEOUS MAN
A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS WHAT WE NEED
HERE AND NOW TO TAKE THE LEAD
GUIDE THE LOST AND POOR CHAMPION THEIR PLIGHT
LEND SUPPORT AND MAKE THINGS RIGHT
ASK YOURSELF WHERE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY GOES
HOW DOES IT ALL GO TO THE CEO'S
WHILE THE FAMILIES AND WORKERS ARE BARELY GETTING BY
A LAND OF PLENTY NOW IN SHORT SUPPLY
A RIGHTEOUS MAN MUST TAKE THE LEAD
TO PUT AN END TO THE POWER AND GREED
EXPOSE THE CRIMINALS OF THE MODERN AGE
EXPLOITING WORKERS MAKING MINIMUM WAGE
DON'T BELIEVE ALL YOU HEAR IN THE NEWS
FIND THE INNER WORKINGS FORM YOUR OWN VIEWS
REALIZE THE TRUTH FEEL THE UNREST IN THE STREETS
BETRAYED BY A SYSTEM RUN BY ELITES
CORRUPTION IS RAMPANT AND ALL TOO COMMON
WALL STREET ON DOWN TO THE CROOKED LAWMEN
ONE PERCENTERS ONLY LOOKING OUT FOR THEMSELVES
NOT YOU OR ME OR ANYONE ELSE
A RIGHTEOUS MAN TO STAND AND DELIVER
AND NOT SELL HIS COUNTRY DOWN THE RIVER
CIVILIZATION'S IN STEADY DECLINE
OFFER SOLUTION NOT A BOTTOM LINE
A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS WHAT WE NEED
HERE AND NOW TO TAKE THE LEAD
GUIDE THE LOST AND POOR STAND BY THEIR PLIGHT
LEND SUPPORT AND MAKE THINGS RIGHT

DON'T WANT THIS DAY TO END
THERE'S A PLACE I LIKE TO GO
DOWN BY THE RIVER IN THE MEADOW
MIDSUMMER DAY UNDER THE POWER LINES
BRINGS ME BACK TO LIGHTER TIMES
WE MAY NOT GET THIS CHANCE AGAIN
DON'T WANT THIS DAY TO END
FEELING OUT OF TOUCH NOW AND THEN
WORKING SINCE I DON'T KNOW WHEN
GOOD DAYS ARE FAR N FEW BETWEEN
SO LITTLE TIME IN A BUSY ROUTINE
TOMORROW IT'S BACK TO WORK AGAIN
DON'T WANT THIS DAY TO END
THERE WAS A GIRL I USED TO KNOW
SHE WAS MINE ONCE LONG AGO
WE'D SIT OUTSIDE UNDER THE AMBER SKY
HAD A FEW PUFFS AND WATCH THE TRAINS ROLL BY
SHE WAS A LOVER AND A FRIEND
DIDN'T WANT THOSE DAYS TO END
THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES ALRIGHT
GET ON OUT BEFORE WE LOSE THE LIGHT
DON'T LET THAT MOMENT SLIP AWAY
LIVE IT NOW FORE IT'S TOO LATE
MAY NOT BE BACK HERE AGAIN
DON'T WANT THIS DAY TO END

RAISED ON THE ROLLING STONES
I grew up in a different time
New records came out folks stood in line
Music seemed to matter more back then
Now radio is the worst it's ever been
I was raised, raised on the Rolling Stones
We were graced with substance from the soul
Gave up tryin to write like Bob
Tough to make a living as a folksinger snob
It felt so right with a guitar in hand
I loved them old school blues rock bands
I was raised, raised on the Rolling Stones
We were graced with substance from the soul
I ain't down where the mainstream's at
Couldn't relate to no gangsta rap
Give us folk rock country n blues
Something with meaning we can use
I was raised, raised on the Rolling Stones
We were graced with substance from the soul
I was raised, raised on Zeppelin and the Stones
We were graced with substance down to the bone
